Mother's Day
Friday, May 8, 2009 at 11:55AM It’s that time again. Time to recognize the most important people on the planet. Moms.
I know that for me growing up my Mother was the one strong constant in my life. I remember she would tuck me in bed each night. If I had that bad dream and woke up in the middle of the night staring at my door thinking I could see that monster there just waiting for me to get up, I would finally jump out of bed and run to my Mom to settle me down and tuck me back in.
When I was sick she waited on me hand and foot. I would lay on the couch and she would bring me my medicine and soup through out the days till I was well again.
She always took me to my violin lesson, basketball practice, baseball ….you name it she was the Go to Girl.
When I was married and raising a family my Wife Lita was the best Mom you can imagine. I was working and supporting my family many weekends as I worked overtime to pay the bills.. She wore both hats and did a superb job of teaching our children the important values in life. She still does to this day with our 3 Grandchildren.
I often wonder how Moms do it. The unconditional love that flows thru them. The patience and understanding. The forgiveness when one of the kids messed up. Getting up all hours of the night to make sure the sick kids are ok. Sleeping in that small bed with them just because they asked her to.
Yep, being a Mom is the most important role on this earth no question about that. They are the best and each of us is stronger and better because of that great relationship we had with our Mothers.
This weekend let’s be sure to share with them just how much we truly care about them and remember the positive impact they made on each of our lives.
Love ya Mom!!!

Dear Karl:
This article is so timely - THANKS. I lost my Mother last year and still miss her a lot and all that she did for all of us in the family, friends and neighbors - with dignity , love and deep wisdom . Her motto was " Share your life for the betterment of all - God has given us the opportunity to serve, share and love"
Wish you and to all the readers to your blog - happy Mom's day.
Carpe Diem:
Sam Roy
